Military-Connected Student Services is the administrative unit charged with recruiting and retaining military-connected students at Fort Hays State University. The military-connected community includes active duty, veterans, military spouses, and military dependents.

FHSU is a participant in the Department of Defense Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding which allows service members to pursue their education using Tuition Assistance (TA). The university is a Yellow Ribbon School and is SB 702 compliant. FHSU assists military-connected students with veteran affairs benefits and provides military/veteran career services and resources. Military training and experience may be evaluated for college credit through the Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) process.
