MDI 250 - Principles of Medical Imaging

The course presents the student with fundamental concepts of medical imaging. These concepts begin with a history of healthcare and radiology. The course outlines prerequisite classes and programs offered in the Allied Health Department. The content encompasses essential patient care, radiologic procedure, exposure, and radiation safety and protection theories. The significance of professional development will be discussed and the distinctive characteristics of additional modalities will be examined.
